I suppose they are going for the sympthay dollar, they are standing a 1 time grade 2 winner for 10k. I actually like his family, dont' lvoe it but like ti but I mean 10k? where is the value in that?

He's a $2500 fee horse. He will soon be forgotten at $10K, there are too many other good ones, cheaper. Once again the management of this horse is stupid. Don't hold your breath waiting for him to appear on a leading sire list.

I think he'd have better success in Florida. The 2008 stallion crop going to Ocala isn't much, and Teuflesburg offers some Northern Dancer that Florida really lacks.

The value, if you can look past the record, is being almost certain he was one of the top 3yo in the crop. Granted you shoudlnt pay for what they should have been, but I think you can make a legitiment argument that he was a G1 horse in any other decent barn, probably multiple. If he could get some nice mares I think he would be effective. Like Roke said, Florida would have been the spot with a reasonable stud fee.

T'Berg is not ag rade 1 horse and I think it's a sign of how many graded stakes races we have that he is a grade 2 horse. he is a grade 3 horse that was luckly enough to catch a subpar field in the woody stephens with the only horse in the country managed worse than him as the fav, stormello.

he odes have some good traits.. he will run on anything which is a plus. he offer 2 turn speed and is durable. he reminds me of slew city slew.

He sold at auction as a yearling for a sum lower than his first year fee. That alone will make him a breed-to-race stallion until he proves he's capable of siring the big horse, and while I do really like him and hope he gets a great book, I fear that $10K is just too high for an unproven breed-to-race stallion.

just a thought here, but maybe his fee is 10k because he will not be able to service a "full book" of mares because of his leg?
