CTHS STALLION BOOK

Postby Jenny » Thu Dec 20, 2007 8:05 pm

2008 Stallion book is out. This year you could purchase a confirmation photo. Which we did for GONE FISHIN. Of course I booked a professional photographer for him and that day it was really foggy. Go figure. It was getting late in the year, so we did not have time to reschedule. We will try again at another date for a better picture of him. He just isn't showing off his lovely neck the way he could. There is another pic on my website which shows him better (the one in my avitar) but you can't see his legs well enough. So we went with the one in the book. what do you guys think. If you get the book of his pic? Be honest.

do not have my copy yet. For the most part it is a depressing day when it does arrive, the selection is actually getting worse. I remember when we had horses like Bold Ruckus, Vice Regent, Geiger Counter, Regal Classic.

I hope your boy gets some action Jenny, I can't imagine that you could take a bad picture of Fish.

Although a very good picture of Fish, it really does not do him justice. This is a stallion that needs to been seen in person to fully appreciate his presence! We are very eagerly awaiting the arrival of our three foals.

Jenny I'm in the same boat as you. Had a professional stallion photogapher (albeit mostly of hunter/jumpers) come to take Ingot's shot and it was windy as hell so it was hard to hear her yelling when to move him forward backward, etc plus so he never got positioned as best as he could have. I'm not thrilled with the result and had to go with that photo for the ad due to timing. Then not long after I found a picture of Ingot from last year that was much better so I changed the picture on my website. It was too late in the year for us to reschedule another shoot so like you we're booked for the spring for a reshoot. Terrible isn't it to spend all that money on the photo-shoot, proofs and the ad for an annual publication only to know that the picture could be so much better. My photographer does really nice work overall so I'm going to go with her again next year - however, I'm curious as to who you used. I went with Draygone Fyne.

Got the book this afternoon. The picture is not good I'm afraid.
