Freefourinternet & Wando

Postby Cree » Sat Dec 22, 2007 11:29 am

Two totally different horses, but I would love to hear any comments on these two stallions. Also, their first foals will be yearlings in 2008. Anyone seen any?
There are 3 Freefourinternet's and 2 Wando's in the upcoming Keeneland January sale, so maybe when that is done people could comment on them.

I've looked at Freefourinternet and like what I see. He is a young million dollar earning grandson of Storm Cat. By his successful son Tobasco Cat , winner of 8 races including The Preakness and the Belmont; and earner of over 2 million dollars.

Freefourinternet is out of the winning daughter of Dixieland Band, Dixie Chimes, she being out of the Mr. Prospector daughter Chimes. Dixie Chimes is also the full sister to multiple graded stakes winner Chimes Band.

Freefourinternet showed incredible durability running from 2 -7, on dirt and turf. He ran in an amazing 44 races finishing 1st - 3rd 19 times at 15 different tracks and 2 continents.

Without going into all the sirelines I think would work well with him, I think he's a good investment in both aspects, to breed or to sell.

I have to look at Wando next.

Haven't seen internet in person.. LOL only on the web..Love him though. If I didn't have a son of storm cat in the barn, would totally consider him.

Go to www.foxtalestud.com and e-mail them. I believe that they will give you an honest answer, for one, they are having an open house on Jan. 19, and I'm sure people from PQ are going to be there.

Like Crystal, from what I can see on the web site and in the stallion register, he's a nice looking specimen.

I've seen Freefourinternet in person and bred one of my mares to him. He's put together well, and is average sized (I think he's 16h or so). I've seen a couple of the foals, and they are very balanced and athletic looking. My mare is rather stout and QH looking, so I'm hoping he gives the foal some refinement. I hope his owners do well by him next year in promoting him - I think he could be successful...

I will TRY...I do mean TRY to go to the open house in Jan. I would like to send all of my mares to PA stallions however Im finding it hard to find the quality I want. Freeforinternet, 1st yr sire Pies Prospect (also at Fox Tail) and Real Quiet who I understand will stand to a limited book are about it for me.

Looking at War Front, Dayjur,Albert The Great and maybe Bellamy Road all in KY Problem is Im only breeding 4 mares this seasons....soo many men so few mares! ;)

Freefourinternet has not left yet for PA - hopefully he'll be there in time for the open house!

I'll be there and will give an honest opinion when I get back.

Looking forward to seeing Fastness as we have a share of him! Will be selling a breeding if anyone's interested.

I will be going for the open house, all my mares are due late this year, so im contemplating not breeding them, or offering free leases (in foal) and give it a one attemp breeding during foal heat..I really only want foals every other year till I get more land prepared...

He didn't make it, but Foxtale put on a nice open house that I thought was well-attended. The stallions looked good & we may have picked a sire for one of the mares we will be breeding out.

BTCountess...Did you make the Open House? I had planned to but things always come up. I fell in love with your mare when I was there a few weeks back and Fastness...IF I was breeding out he would be ontop of the list.
