We have booked one of our mares to him. Curious as to what you guys thought of him. I am new to posting on the board so hello everyone. This is a wonderful place to learn. :D

A very good but underappreciated sire. He can produce you a real good racehorse but will not wow them at the sales. I think he is one of the better deals out there breeding to race. He might be apppreciated at the sales one day. Good luck to you.

What a great article! Thanks for the welcome to the board. Trying to get the right fit for each mare can really get overwhelming. I love every minute of it though. :D

Did you have to pay a booking fee? I hope you get that back.

it sure sucks though when you are planning on using a horse and POOF he's sold out from under you.

Most farms in Lexington do not have booking fees. It has been a very frustrating year for me, also, I have clients mares to book. It seems that more than half of the horses I chose have vacated. I am waiting two more weeks before making final selections. This week all the stud farms are making the calls on outstanding contracts to figure book sizes, and then they will start dealing.
