No love for Silver Wagon?????

Postby TB Dreamin' » Mon Jan 21, 2008 12:47 pm

Come on, nobody has even one word to say about him??????

Nobody knows him?

Nobody ever heard of him?

Nobody likes him?

Or what?

Surely, someone out there must have some opinion about the fellow's chances at stud....you're disappointing me, kids.

well, I liked him.
slightly disappointing ar the races, but raced a along time,
comes from a good dam of winners, family is not known for major soundness problems (in my data)
and there's Turn To in his sire...
Never seen him in person though.

He couldn't win a race for almost two years before Dutrow worked his magic on him. What's there to write?

Silver Wagon was a very good two-year-old. He won the Hopeful (G1), defeating Chapel Royal, Birdstone, and Limehouse.

In this case, Dutrow's magic just got him back to where he once was.

For $2,500 you can breed to his sire Wagon Limit who is now in Louisiana. And at that price he's one of the better values going. I'd highly recommend WL over his son Silver Wagon at this stage.

Thanks for all who wrote in-

I actually went to Hurricane Hall to see him last week and he really is stunning. He is very tall 16.1-16.2, but he's so compact that you don't realize how tall is when you first see him. He's very well put together, with a pretty head, and nice, straight legs.

His groom said he has people coming to look at him (and English Channel, of course) all day long, so they are kept in during the day now. (maybe that's standard)

Anyway, he said he has a really nice (not fractious)personality and is very playful when turned out in his paddock. He also said that when most people see him, they immediately ask where the office is, so that they can sign up their mare(s.) Thought that was interesting.

Anyhoo, have a great day!
