Three, in particular, were eye catching. Fastness, who conveys class and elegance and a pedigree that is a wonderful outcross for pretty much everything; Rimrod, a wonderful, game looking son of Danzig; and Tekken, a son of Nureyev with a big personality.
The latter two both telegraph strong 'Northern Dancer'. Compact, strong, short-coupled, big hindquarters, well put together. Both were very confident, but calm and nicely mannered individuals. Tekken's pretty much a personal stallion for his owner's broodmare band, but is advertised lightly locally, and has produced a capable dirt stakes filly in Miss Blue Tye Dye, whom our trainers broke.
Rimrod comes from a regal running/winning family, a MGSW dam, to say nothing of his sire's influence on the breed. We bred to his full brother, Syncline, twice, resulting in a 3yo. gelding and 2yo. filly. Both are doing well.
It's nice to see bloodlines like these alive and well and in the Keystone state, particularly if you're breeding to race.
Saw a few PA stallions this weekend

Denise, thanks for the update on the stallions. I recently had a chance to work with Jane, who works with the stallion syndicate of Fastness and she is a very nice person. It looks like they have a very good stallion syndicate operating there.
I will look closer at the other two stallions you looked at. Thanks for the heads up.
Please don't forget about the stallions I stand in NJ. I recently picked up. Believe In Saints, Some Kind of Tiger, Harrington Sound and Tin God. Along with my own stallion Honor Defend, we have some excellent choices as well. The NJ dual state program is excellent if you are interested in that option for one of your foals. Good luck with your mating plans for 2008!

Pete, I had a computer malfunction. I kept hitting the submit button but it never sent the post. So being the impatient person that I am, I kept hitting the submit button, eventually it did send but then there were multiple posts. Does anyone know how to clean it up. I tried to clean it up after I saw the mistake but that was making it worse---hence the "at" in the first post....
best regards Brendan
Hi Brendan,
I was kidding of course.
A good idea when posting here or elsewhere is to copy what you've written to notepad or Word before submitting.
If it seems that your submit didn't go through try waiting. This happens when there's a problem with your connection, the site that you are posting to, etc.
Usually the system finishes its' business, you check and your intelligent, perceptive and very witty post, and it's there. If not, now that you copied it, you can post it again.
If I submitted my posts several times it would just cause more groans.

Pete, that almost sounds too easy, thanks for the quick tip, I never thought about doing it that way. I won't be that impatient ever again with the submit button.
The other annoying problem I have--- is writing a long well thought out post and then before I can submit the final post----I lose the entire work in cyber space-----never to be found again. Sometimes when that happens I don't even bother responding to the original post---it is just too annoying. That same solution would fix that problem as well.

I wish many posters would draft their posts in Word first, because then they could use the SPELLCHECKER. Also, Word points out questionable usage and incorrect grammar. Sigh. What a wonderful world it would be.
Bcassidy, if I'm writing a bit of a long one and worried that if I hit the submit button it might disappear, I copy the whole thing to the clipboard and hit preview. If my session was timed out, I can then just paste it back into a reply window.

Oh how familiar your plight is to me. I recommend saving as well and I really should do Word instead of notepad simply because if it's you not the site, and your computer chooses that moment to crash, Word saves the last draft you had up. I usually don't bother to do that unless it's a really long and precious and/or time sensitive thing that I can't retype. I once lost a major paper I had to type on a form via a website and had to redo it. Should've saved it on Word.
