:D Anyone know anything about Tigerline? What do you think his chances of becoming a nice commercial stallion are? I heard that he will breed over 100 mares this year, anyone know if that's true? :?: :D

I seriously doubt he will breed 100 mares this year. Fashionable pedigree but terrible race record.

Good grief! That's a horrible conformation photo! You've got a horse out of a great mare, a half to a hot stallion, by a hot stallion and you can't stand him up better than that? It's nice that they took the effort to Photoshop out the shank - that shank really would have made the photo look bad. You know as a 1.4m yearling, he's a good looking boy, so why not try to show him off??

Nothing against Velocity Farms, but if you can't stand you stallion up for one decent photo, I don't have high hopes for your ability to market him well enough to make him a commercial success.

Plus, I know making a stallion is a numbers game and normally a big book is good for a first year stallion. But, I've got to think if they get that many mares to him, they are probably breeding a goodly number of cats and dogs. And, what that means is comes sales time, if you want a Tigerline, you can have your pick since there will be a lot out there - so people will be less willing to take one out of a cheap mare. Of course, all this is speculation and assuming they really get 100 mares. (I agree with Larry - I doubt it.)
