That's too bad. He was a very nice son of In Excess.

Sad to hear the news. I had high hopes for this stallion being a progeny of In Excess, considering the tremendous influence In Excess has had on California and across the nation with stallions such as Indian Charlie. We also lost Excessive Bull, who had stood in New Mexico and was a leading juvenile sire. In some ways In Excess is the Montbrook of California imo.

RIP Gibson County!

What a shame! I really really liked this guy. I can't believe he's gone so soon. I know someone who had a couple of mares booked to him too, now I wonder who they will go to.

What a shame, our condolences to his owners and caretakers. We have a mare in foal to him and due any day. Such a beautiful animal with so much potential to be one of the good ones.

Yet another reason A.I. would be a good idea. Could you imagine how much frozen would be on him right now? But it ads to the whole racing market at this moment so maybe in my grandchild's lifetime they will get the idea.

Florida breeders will have to find another TB masquerading as a quarter horse to lead their sire's list.

Maybe Gulfstream Park should sell off 3/4 of its main track so that the Florida breds can win every 1/4 mile race on the card.

Hi Aurora,
Could you post a photo of your foal by Gibson County? We are expecting one from him in a couple weeks. Thanks, and Happy Easter to all!

What was I thinking, the 'filly' is a colt. The mare & foal are at the stud. I'll try to get pics when they return.
