Pedigree Query

I am seeing so many ads for this horse - he's on every page of everything I read it seems. Does this mean he's in trouble with low bookings, or that his owners think highly of him, or is it just a saturate the eye marketing strategy?

Or is he possibly a good horse? I haven't really investigated him.

Anyway I wish he'd hurry up and shine if he's going to so we can lose his ads to make room for pictures of other horses.

My guess is, they're capitalizing on the new focus on the family. He's the type of horse who's going to fly under the radar to most breeders but his immediate family now has Pyro on the Derby trail making big waves.

I've not been impressed with this horses races or for that matter his physical, but there's a ton to like on pedigree.

It's worth noting that most the stallions from this family have been given little chance at stud and relegated to regional markets almost instantly and yet they still fair exceptionally well, especially when you look at their stats.

Olympio-- Becoming a great broodmare and producing stakes winners at a great clip for California breeders.
Wild Wonder-- Died young but got some good horses. Bet his daughters will produce well also.
Cuvee-- Had a Kentucky berth and his foals look pretty damn good. I expect him to be at the top of this year's first year stallion list. Half to Will He Shine.
Early Flyer-- Champion Texas first year stallion.
Will He Shine
Pyro-- Soon to be at Darley

Whats amazing about this group his how great their physicals are as a whole. Will He Shine is the least impressive of the bunch.

And Geo, good humor but in all fairness, this is his first year at stud. Let's give him some time before we start expecting much "shine".

I know, Applesauce, I was joking. I just like looking at the pictures of the horses in those magazines, and you have to admit there are a lot of Will He Shine ads, and they don't have very nice horse pictures, right now just family lists with lots of flame icons (the Pyro connection).

O.k. so I know I'm completely shallow.

I like Olympio and I like Pyro - he's always been my top pick for the Derby. I'll be quite happy if Will He Shine succeeds.
