Stallion named RunOnTheFreeway by AP Jet?

Postby PAbred » Sun Apr 27, 2008 8:39 pm

Can anyone tell me about a colt named Run On The Freeway by AP Jet(Fappiano) out of Little Champ(Great Gladiator)? He seems to have some winners in his pedigree-any opinions on his future as a stud?
Thanks!

I would certainly hope no one would stand him at stud.

His sire was nothing special (even though his progeny racked up more than their share of earnings in restricted competition against other NY breds).

Don't see anything all that special about his family even though there are a few black type horses there.

And from what pedigree query shows he's unraced.

There are plenty of stakes winning stallions, by top sires, from top families, that can be gotten to for a couple of thousand dollars.

Yeah,he only raced once, didn't do very well and has spent the last couple of years just turned out(I have no idea why-he is a great mover, tall and grey to boot!)
His sire won 1.4 million and his dam $200K but I guess it doesn't matter if he didn't do anything.
We have been offererd a couple of "test breeds" to him so I really do appreciate any opinions on him. Thanks! :)

If you are going for a sporthorse with racing just as a passing thought he may not be so bad. His dam was a nice little race mare in Canada...but I think he is more sporthorse sire than race.

He should be a gelding. There are enough failures with great parents all over the US at stud..

Crystal..unless you see what he looks like how can you judge? He may be gorgeous and a good sporthorse sire?!
There are a ton of colts that are grade that should be gelded that sporthorse people breed to all the time...they should be gelded..as should alot of people that I know.
