New York Speed For New York Breeders
Try to Catch this Yankee! In 2008 the NY Yankees will be playing their last games in Yankee Stadium before making a long awaited upgrade into New Yankee Stadium, an $80 million dollar project started in 2006. It’s time for all of New York to take a step up to the plate with their breeding program. It’s not too late to consider speedball son of Maria’s Mon, YANKEE MON for your mare.
This $395,000 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Yearling is half brother to the dam of Grade 1 winner APPEALING ZOPHIE. His dam, Sodeo Sodeo (by Seattle Slew), is a half-sister to three stakes winners, including Grade 1 Florida Derby winner CROESO.
YANKEE MON confirmed his speed with sprint wins at Gulfstream Park by seven lengths, Aqueduct by 3 ¼, and racing 7 furlongs at Belmont Park in 1:21.84. He also proved he could go the distance with a gate-to-wire victory at Belmont in the 1 1/16th Evan Shipman Handicap, defeating future millionaire West Virginia. As a four year old YANKEE MON registered three consecutive triple-digit Beyer speed figures at Belmont and Saratoga, ending the season with 4 wins from less then ten starts and earning over $185,000.
YANKEE MON provides breeders with the perfect outcross for mares descending from Mr. Prospector and Northern Dancer lines. Dutchess Views Farm also offers breeders a unique Multi Mare Discount Program when booking three or more approved broodmares to stallions standing at our farm. In addition to our stallions we also own shares in several other New York and Kentucky stallions who would also qualify for our program.
