stallion syndication for 2009

Postby bcassidy » Sun May 25, 2008 10:19 am

One of my clients claimed an inexpensive stallion prospect (R Loyal Man) for 16k that has some back class. I believe he finished 2nd in the bashford manor stakes (gr III) in only his second start. He hails from the female family of Halo's Image and is by More than Ready out of a broodmare stallion by Wild Again...
More than Ready was recently bumped to 125k in Austrailia and is doing very well down under ( so this guys (R Loyal Man's) long term prospects may be in the southern hemisphere) but I was thinking about puting a very inexpensive syndication together for people that own their own mares and want to "breed to race" while also giving the sydication a shot at some upside if the down under scenario was to pay off.
I think we have a shot at something pretty reasonable with some good upside....
I have never shuttled a stallion before (so that will be new to me) but there are many interesting twists to this opportunity. If we stood the stallion in NJ during the northern hemisphere breeding season the resulting foals could be dropped in other states and dual qualify as NJ Breds and NY breds, or any other state for that matter. NJ has a very attractive NJBRED program with MSW races starting at 46k....
If anyone is slightly interested in this stallion please drop me an email at [email protected] and I can share some more thoughts with you.
best regards Brendan
