Looking for Stallions with Ribot or Princequillo.
I'm looking for stallions for 10k or below in the Mid Atlantic, KY or FL in which Ribot or Princequillo appear just 1 time in their lineage. Smart Strike is ideal but a little out of my price range.[/b][/u]

Raffie's Majesty in NY
Stands at Sugar Maple and is one of the better sires in the country. A bargain at $3000. Add to that he has only one line of Phalaris(on his bottomside) and I suspect that is why he been so successful as there are so few outcrosses for such in the US.

While it is true that Raffie moves his mares up, his overall numbers are average and his 4% stakes winner percentage is not that great considering that two of them are full brothers. His foals get better with age and he would be a good choice for breed to race. He appears to cross well with Northern Dancer/Mr. Prospector line mares, of which there are many. With a limited number of foals he is in the top ten for New York sires.

And what do you expect for a $3000 fee? He's one of the top 5 studs in the US for under $10,000 fee. He's a MUCH better sire then many studs who stand for 5 figures. He simply has not had the mares that the 5 figures studs receive yet he consistently improves mares he breeds. The hybrid vigor he brings to most US mares is a rare commodity and why I would recommend seeking him out.

He finished 2007 on the NY list at position 15, so there are at least 14 stallions standing in New York that out rank him by earnings at a fee of $10,000 or less. I am not disagreeing with you as to his ability to move his mares up, he could be ranked nationally in that category, but he is far from the top 5 in NA standing for a fee of 10,000 or less. He is currently number 24 on the NY sire list.
