Friends Lake

Watched Screen Your Friend win the Bashford Manor today in a very gutty performance.

I liked a few Friends Lake yearlings and thought they would do better as late 2yolds but this little homebred sucker today sure looked good.

Any opinions on the Friends Lake babies? Best of luck if own one..

I haven't seen any of his babies, but I have seen him, and I think he's absolutely stunning. Tons of bone to go with a large frame. Gorgeous!

I looked at 10-12 yearlings last year (this year's 2yo's). It was apparent that he stamps them. They were not stunning but they were uniformly good. I think he'll do well.

I love Friend's Lake!! I went to see him at Airdrie Stud last Spring and was very impressed.

Glad to hear one of his babies is already doing well. I, too, felt that his babies might not be ready to go as young two years olds. That's OK in my book!

Friends Lake and his babies look great. I think the only thing that tempered the enthusiasm was he was viewed as somewhat of a phony horse in terms of race record.

His Florida Derby seemed somewhat flukey at the time (although the field was pretty good), and he did nothing afterward.
