How much for a Fusaichi Pegasus son?

If he was sold at Keeneland recently, it wasn't under that name.
I guess all you can say about the ad is that the seller is an optomist.

Well stated Kimberley Mine. It is astounding that because someone else paid too much for a horse as a yearling or two year old, that this becomes a selling point for stallion potential. Non winner, not sound-regardless of why.
Although a half sis to Silverbulletday, Rokeby Rosie has done nothing to establish herself.

I've seen several well bred million dollar plus yearlings who are unraced or unplaced, or even minor winners, sell as stallion prospects for less than $10,000.
Hopefully no one overpays this much for a longshot stallion prospect.
Heck even graded stakes winning well bred horses are kind of longshot's at stud (more fail or produce completely average results than succeed).
Unraced ones are extreme longshots and should be priced accordingly.

The son of FuPeg that I was referring to was hip 4556 at KEENOV. He had a better race record and a better family and a really nice physical - GSP. He went for 70K. I think that sets a nice comparison point for this offering.

Not too long ago there was a poster on this board asking about stallions for Ontario. She was looking, among others, at a stakes-winning son of Silver Deputy from the female family of Sky Classic, Regal Classic, and Smart Strike. Good sire AND known sire-producing female line and they wanted $40k for him.
If that's any benchmark, this horse should be in the $5-10k range. He's probably better off being gelded and sold as a riding horse.
