That's fantastic news - I saw many of his races in person, including his first ever start at Sandown, his Sussex Stakes (G1) at Goodwood, and his Juddmonte Lockinge (G1) at Newbury.

He's actually quite a character in person, he likes to have his tongue played with! :D

He is such a cool horse i thought it was great that he was coming here. I wonder what he will stand for? He stands i think now for $5000. would think he will stay there, certainly not drop from that. Good for Ascot Stud for bringing in another quality stallion. I also like Tejano Run. They will generate a ton of business i am sure for him. The only other horse i really like here in Ontario & have a filly by here is Tomahawk. :) this is great news. That is terrific that you watched got to watch him run. He is a lovely horse.

Aljabr is a great horse to be around, he is very level headed and pretty correct for a Storm Cat, he is also pretty funny when he wants treats (the tongue trick Galileo mentioned).
We were going to announce it closer to sales time to create a little more buzz, but we figured that we should take advantage of a filly winning a Canadian classic and jump the gun a little.
He will be standing for $3,500, which we think is an excellent value for a 3 time G1 winning Champion Storm Cat out of a G1 winning mare, who already has 4 stakes horses this year and had 5 last year.
He has a couple more that should pop up in stake races soon at Woodbine, Arlington and Saratoga.
We will be updating our website soon to include video of his races (that Galileo mentioned), hopefully we give the breeders with a limited budget a top class horse to breed to while also offering a viable option to the best mares that stay in Ontario to be bred.

That is a great deal $3500. My husband was an assistant to Tom Albertrani when both were with the Arabs in Dubai. He looked after him during his 2yr old campaign & took him to the U.S. as a 3 year old. He loved him. We went a few years back to see him at Shadwell, sweet as pie that horse.

He as well had Daylami, Street Cry, E Dubai.. & Best of the Best, does anyone know where the Windfield stallions are going ?

:) Very exciting news indeed. I think he is one of the best stallions to come here since Ascot Knight. :) good on you!!!

I want to wish you the best of luck with your new acquisition, what mares dose he cross best with?
I would hate to unload one of my mares that might go well with him.
You guys deserve to have another nice stallion, you work very hard at what you do,and you both are a walking data base when it comes to breeding. :)

Thanks Minnow,

The obvious for Ontario breeders would be anyone with an Ascot Knight mare. So far his top 2 performers are out of Danzig line stallions, Northern Kraze out of a Dayjur mare and Wollemi Pine out of a Pine Bluff mare, both sires are by Danzig.
He has also crossed well with Kris S. and Diesis mares and he also has a nice horse out there as well out of a Deputy Minister mare. The Bold Ruckus line mares would also go well with him.
His dam side is mostly European and Blushing Groom shows up there, aside from that he is any mare would be pretty safe to go to him, unlike most of the closely inbred sires we are starting to see more and more of these days.

Any plans for an open house in the near future so we can all get to meet this fellow?

I have suggested having one at StoneBriar,Stables.
We could show case all the stallions in the arena, there are six stalls in there,so it could be done even if the weather is inclement.
It wouldn't be till after racing is finished,We could open it up to any local stallion in the area, now that windfields is out may be niagara could get the recognition it truly deserves.
