Just picked the August edition of Mid Atlantic Thoroughbred and noticed that Limit Out has the highest 2008 earnings per starter with $24,174 and the second highest % winners per starter with 50%.
His 2008 fee is $2,500 and he seems to do this or something like this every year; i.e., I believe he is consistently the best breed-to-race value in the Mid Atlantic, maybe the country. .
I don't own any shares in this stallion but I do have a couple of mares in foal to him.

Google NayLee Farm.com.
NayLee has some nice stallions including the last son of Seattle Slew but all eyes go to Limit Out when they bring them out of the barn.
A prior Mid Atlantic had his earnings per starter greater than $60k and his black type horses at 16%. He's doing this with very average mares.

PS: When you bring up the NayLee web site go to "Horses For Sale" and take a look at the Gunnerside filly. She stands up like a saddlebred.

Nope, I don't have any shares in Limit Out or any of the other NayLee stallions. I would certainly like to have a share in Limit Out but am thinking that a $2,500 fee might actually be more cost effective that paying maintenance on a share.
I have two mares in-foal to NayLee's Seattle Slew son Gunnerside and one to Limit Out. I also have two 2006 Civilisation geldings in training with Stephanie Nixon at Horseshoe Hill Farm
I guess I'm surprised that I have access to a stallion that consistently posts top average earnings per starter and % winners from starters that are competitive with KY stallions that are getting much better mares and charging 10 to 100 times his $2,500 fee.
