Just saw the announcement he is being retired to stud at Murmur Farm in Md. Thoughts on how well received he'll be?

I was a big fan of his, especially when they switched him to the turf.
To have a son of Cozzene standing in the MidAtlantic, at that price, is also a bargain. He's a marvelous outcross for the preponderance of N. Dancer/Prospector mares in the region. That said, because he's probably going to get the "turf" knock, I'm not confident he'll get the mares he deserves, especially when they're leaving MD in droves!
Maybe, just maybe, the artificial surface performance of so-called turfers will help these kinds of stallions.

What will be his stud fee? I saw the original announcement that said it is going "to be announced."

I thought I had read in one article that he was standing for $3,000.

the Cozzene influence and turf reputation may have a positive effect. With the distaste everyone has for too many dirt sprints being written, maybe we'll see a gradual turn back to more turf racing and longer distances.
