Wow, those are some numbers on improving his mares from such a youngster.
Any word on what his stud fee will be NEXT year?
He has little commercial appeal at this stage, but I love everything else about him.

Pass.
I believe he went to nY to a farm that specializes in fertility problems. Rumor has it he was struggling with fertility issues in KY and mares owners became gun shy.
I think he has every right to be in KY based on race record and pedigree. I wonder if he never had fertility issues if he would have stayed there....
Turf stallions are now getting a second life with synthetic surfaces as you just don't know which bloodlines will take to them.
I don't know if his fertility problems came back in KY or not.
According to the Jockey Club he bred 61 mares in 07 and had 48 live foals this year which is 79%. A very good percentage. I liked him back when he was in NY and they advertised him on thoroughlybred.com. He is by Mr. Prospector out of G2 winning Sultry Sun by Buckfinder(Buckpasser x Shenanigans). Sultry Sun produced 2 other Stakes winners G1 winner of over $1.6M Sultry Song and G1 winner Solar Splendor winner of $1,386,468. His pedigree is better than many of the horses standing in KY and he had 23 starts with 7 wins and is a Graded stakes winner with a rag no. of 2 1/2 which may not be the fastest but it easily beats many other KY sires including A P Indy. His female family is outstanding and so is his sire. What's not to like?

What's not to like would be 4 winners from 15 starters this year, averaging $7,161, lifetime median earnings of $3,575 (granted only 23 starters), and a current year AEI of .53 vs CI 1.22.
Still he has done well to get 1 champion and 2 graded SWs from only 23 starters. It's just a question of whether he will be consistent, the jury is still out on this one. This year he's only 30% in the money with $1,918 per start.
At $7,500 I feel he's worth the gamble though.

If you take Showing Up out of the equation, he's over-priced. He's throwing some horses who have some physical issues as well.
Many of the foals you see have some knee problems. I have not seen SM, but I'm going to assume he doesn't have the best physical.
Now on the plus side, I think Florida breeders have secured a real standout in Showing Up. I think this horse has a real chance to throw terrific runners and brings some pedigree elements that will compliment a lot of the Florida broodmare population.
Showing Up also happens to be a damn good looking horse. He has push button speed and could carry it on any surface.
