I guess they figured if he was gonna show anything they'd see it in the first 2 crops. Sad that it's so brief a flicker nowadays. He'll have stood for 5 years in the US but he's got a G1 placing to show for it. It's pretty stark contrast to the success of Street Cry, a foal of the same year (1998). He had what, 5 G1 winners in the first crop? So much for all that crowing about the Met Mile being a stallion making race. Turns out they aren't as confident in the prospects of winners after all.
