Discreet Cat

Postby johnrr88 » Tue Dec 09, 2008 4:01 pm

Obviously he was quite a racehorse...I cant rememeber the reason he retired. Anyone?

I dont make a habit of breeding to stallions with only 9 starts (especially with a mare having had only 7 herself), but I would appreciate opinions on this mating:
Discreet Cat/ Never Out (ex.Take me Out )

The linebreeding looks great on paper, but would appreciate any comments on the stallions conformation, etc. I realize he has no foals yet.

Pedigree wise this mare can go with many...Silver Train and Bernstein look interesting too. Id like to breed to the Storm Cat line next year and maintain a reasonable price as she has not produced a big runner yet.
Best regards to all. john

Personally I think theres a lot of good proven stallions in that price range, especially since your mare hasnt produced anything yet. Id far prefer Bernstein over Discreet Cat at this point.

You have a nice a GSP mare....I agree that you could get better for your money than Discreet Cat. I like the Bernstein angle, but am really intrigued with her going to Tale of the Cat.
