King of the Roxy
He is being returned to racing - anyone know why?
Re: King of the Roxy
hi nferro9925
There has been an effort to make some sort of stallion deal (re King of the Roxy)...apparently though, nothing came to fruition.
He certainly had some talent, but there must be questions/concerns about his value/appeal/marketability. Voila, I guess it's time to go to Plan B.

Well he got retired from some defect in his cannon bone, whatever that means. Now we all have to be at least somewhat concerned that he never should've been unretired. Either he was injured too much to keep going or he wasn't. If the retirement was legit due to injury, why's he coming back? And if it wasn't, I just don't see the point of announcing the retirement before you know for sure that anybody will take him as a stallion. Hopefully he's fine and will get some race record for the year that will improve him as a prospect but if he's not capable of it, this could be hard to watch. I always liked the little guy. I hope all goes well.

According to another article today in TB TImes, it took the canon bone 10 months to heal. - AND Team Valor will take it slow with him to get him
race ready.
I can understand a stallion not being marketable - but perhaps a regional sire might work for him.
I do hope with all my fingers crossed that he does well and is safe.
