What do you think?
Golly, I am so excited, the foals are his first crop! Thanks to everyone for your encouragement last year with Successful's first season at stud. We really enjoy the horses and now are waiting for a couple of our mares to foal so we can see what we have colts or fillies, doesn't really matter as long as they are healthy and sound!
Also, here is a note from Ups and Downs Farm (where SW stands at stud) on their 2009 stud fees:
Please Note New Stud Fee Offer:
Due to recent TB yearling and mixed sales results, as well as the current economic environment, Ups and Downs has lowered stud fees for our stallion roster for the 2009 season. This is not a reflection on stallion quality but strictly due to market conditions, and to help our clients. Breed To race, it is after all what all buyers are looking for - Racing Horses!
All Stallions have a LFG and are being offered at a discounted fee. Fees are $500 LFG for each stallion if paid prior to Aug. 1st, 2009. If not paid by that date the fee reverts to posted stud fee if not paid.
Thank you for considering our stallions for your mares this breeding season!
