Any update. Tried to buy S.M. several years ago. Interested in knowing what happened.

Let's say I wanted to send them some of my mares, or some horses for training..damn straight I want to know why and how that horse died..when this stallion was alive I wanted a "confirmation " shot..never got it, I'm not the only one who wants to find out "how and why" this horse is dead.

I agree with Springboro. When I have to have my stallion PTS (inoperable colic) I was heartbroken. I don't think I would have responded to people quizzing me about his cause of death. That was my buisness and my buisness alone.

No one is being "quizzed" here, when some successful Kentucky stallion dies, it isn't long before we all know what happened, it shouldn't be some "big secret" as to why this horse died. And as to Clogging up e-mails, this news would travel fast, someone would post it right here.

The death of a big successful stallion has reverberations and is news. With all due respect to Sophisticated Man, he was not a big successful stallion. It may not be a "big secret" as to how he died but maybe they see it also as a private matter.

I agree with springboro--just because you thought of breeding a mare one day or even if you did doesn't give you an all access pass to everything that happens at that farm. Give them a break.
