ghostzapper broke ribs

Postby bdw0617 » Mon Jun 15, 2009 5:05 pm

A good friend of mine went to Adena over the weekend to look at stallions. He got a good look at Ghostzapper. He was not doing very well. He broke 5 ribs and the folks at Adena Springs do not have a clue how he did it. He was out in his paddock area and under a mild sedation to help with the pain. Evidently he is not hurting enough not to roll on the ground because he was dirty from head to hooves.

Hopre he's feeling better by the first week in August. I'm scheduled to see him then when I drive out to Lexington.

he looks more like Ole Roy the backyard pet than the fastest horse in the world! Funny--I like to see horses being horses.

I think what gets lost so much in well.. him being the best horse of the this decade and all... at least to me, he's a very good looking horse. But I am partial. and he seems like a pretty laid back horse from what I undrestand

Very docile stallion. No attitude issues.

I couldn't call him "great looking", but he's a rather neat overall package. His foals seem to be running the gamut though, in conformation.

Should be interesting to see what he does at stud and this first crop. His half-brother is a very good breed to race stallion who gets some pretty brilliant runners of quality. Ghostzapper will have no excuses if he doesn't deliver.
