I went to your link because I wanted to read about Sunday Silence. I've always admired him. But I was blown away by the prose of the article. So well-written. The Racing Post would seem to put their articles together as if someone with a modicum of intelligence might read them.

I agree with docjocoy's observation about the quality of the writing. It put me in mind of John Sparkman and his informed insights and elegant turn of phrase. Quality writing used to be typical of the sport; now it's about as rare as a race longer than nine furlongs.

Yes, I have always liked the Racing Post breeding articles. I especially liked the Tony Martin "Pedigree Analysis" page when he did it. Don't know what has happened to him lately though.
