ELUSIVE QUALITY b. h. 1993
Gone West---Image of Greatness, by Heros Honor

This sire is a diamond in the rough, his offspring are real hickory.
I am currently researching his nicking patterns. If you can afford his fee then open your wallet and jump in.
The only drawback is his progeny average starts is 9. If you take a mare to Elusive Quality that comes from a family of soundness this will enchance his foals. I hope that Smarty Jones will carry on EQ superior runners.

Louis: Me thinks your comments have hit the nail on the head. Unless a horse by EQ can win an average 50k a race in a limited # of outings, you've wasted your dime. I own a half sister by Wild Zone to ELUSIVE CHRIS that is by EQ. This colt won the Ellis Juvenile and placed in another stakes race at Arlington. It has not run since Sept 2004. Broken condyle, I heard. This colt is in Bob Holthus' barn at Oaklawn. I'm anxious to see EC run again. I've heard of a few other incidents. Me thinks a good tough correct mare is the key too. Also, I respect your opinion, but me also thinks we not seen enough of his offspring to crown him a master sire. Keep the info coming. Best wishes - Shammy :D

Not that good looking. Be better with Omega Code in Fl or Great Notion in MD

I am surprised that in researching Elusive Quality foal crops that 97 % of his mares come from the (Phalaris) sire line. When Im finished I'll post his positive and negative nicks for all to view.
