Sires who died during their first or second year (aproximate) as sires yet their legacy is still alive.
Can you name them:
01. Lawyer Ron
02. Chester House
03. Free House

Saint Liam
George Washington (albeit a lone filly but she was being offered at auction last I saw)
Unfortunately I don't think we can add Drilling for Oil to the list. I don't think he was in Peru more than a few days before he was killed and I bet they were letting him settle in so no breeding prior to the theft.

Jorge, hi

Your post on the color forum are always informative, interesting, and polite

Im just curious, though, what you must be meaning by legacy? I personally wouldnt consider Lawyer Ron, and from another message, St Liam, legacies, until babies are racing and producing, you know? Are you just meaning that they still have a chance to make a legacy? I really liked Lawyer Ron, I hope he does become a Legacy, But I would consider a 1 -2 crop sire like Bold Reasoning, on the strenght of SS alone, a legacy, but not these guys mentioned here so far

We can substitute "legacy" here for survival of their names via a normal number of future sons/daughters; grandsons/granddaughters etc.
We are all sadden with their early passing (including Lawyer Ron) and wish all the best to their progeny.

Saarland was pensioned due to to fertility problems after entering stud in 2005, so only two or three crops from him, not sure of the details with out looking it up. I do recall that he was already out of stallion rotation when earlier this year, when managed to kill himself in a weird pasture accident.

The classic line of horses for this has to be Domino. Two very small foal crops but his blood is in a lot of American pedigrees.

And his son COMMANDO who only had twenty-seven foals. Luckily, four of the colts were COLIN, PETER PAN, CELT, and unraced Ultimus. All were influential.

Certainly have been alot of "legacy" type sires that went way too early , not one or two years at stud but still way too early. A few that come to mind are Alydar, Dr. Fager and Unbridled.

Shergar sired but one crop before he was murdered. Easy Goer sired only 4.

How many did 'Chester House' sire?...the reason I ask is that 'Muhannak' won the BC marathon last year.
