Majesty's Prince is gone

I foaled him, broke him, and went on to manage the career of two of his stakes horses, Dr. Kiernan and Majesty's Time.

Sad day for me............ :(

I wish there was more from his sireline around. His Majesty will always have a special place in my heart.

Condolences, Winds.

winds: How fortunate you were to be associated with such an accomplished runner. I was a fan. Unfortunately we don't see so many of his ilk and quality in this country any more. I do wish he'd had more success at stud.

When he was at North Ridge early in his career, they wanted to support him with European mares. His owner Mr. Marsh didn't want him to be known as a turf stallion so he said no. He wanted him to have a lot of dirt runners. So, what a shame he was mismanaged by his owner early in his stud career.

That is such a shame... he was one of my all-time faves! My condolances to you.

What is funny is I broke one of his babies and managed the careers of two of his stakes horses. Only one was turf only, that was Dr. Kiernan, the other stake horse was Majesty's Time and he'd run on broken glass he didn't care. The third horse Judge Hewes went on to earn over 200k with 86 starts all on the dirt and all sprints. I think if given a good chance he'd have had more like them, alas, they weren't.
