Redattore

Postby TBG » Thu Feb 03, 2005 4:34 am

Redattore is going to stand the 2005 breeding season at Harris Farm in California. Has anyone seen him? What do you think of him and what do you think are the best mares for him? What type of foals do you think he will produce? What are his chances for success? Thanks for any and all comments.

I cannot commet on his conformation because I have never seen him but I like this horse as a stallion prospect quiet a bit. His is from the same family as sires Woodman & Private Account in his 2nd dam being a full to Playmate & Numbered Account. I really liked Redattore on the track as he showed lots of route pace on dirt or turf from a mile to 1 & 1/8. He was a solid racehorse as his record indicates. I havent really looked into it but I have an intrest in a couple Spend a Buck mares & at first glance Redattore looks like a very good maybe for them. With Roi Normand being an Elculsive Native & 5x5 Dejebel hints 6x6 Tourbillion & Political Intrigue bringing in more La Troienne figure that in with his route speed & race record & he def looks like a fit for SAB mares.

I've got a Redattore yearling at Harris Farms. She is the boss of the bunch, no doubt, which leaves her in charge of the ample hay. She is a butterball! Like Seattle Slew was, hopefully! :D

I haven't had the chance to compare her to other Redattore yearlings. At this time, just looking at her, she looks like she is pretty stout, but a lot of that is fat. She certainly looks mature for a yearling, looks much more like a short two year old than a yearling.

Mjxm,
Any talk of when his 2 yr olds are likely to start surfacing? I am very hopeful for him as a sire.

His kids in brazil are doing fantastic...already winning, some even graded stakes. I know his first U.S. foal is at hollywood named Compari who has put in a handful of works recently.
