Who the heck was Sundridge?

He appears in many TB lines, sometimes over and over.

I've been unable to find out much about him, except that he was fast. He doesn't have a profile or portrait on any of the internet sites that I have found.

As a tail male sire, he seems not to have survived, but he is in all the other positions.

So what did he do? In fact, what did his descendants do?

He was 35-17-8-1 (betw 2-6yo, at 5 & 6f) after spending several months in a sling as a 2yo because of a fractured pelvis. Sundridge was the leading broodmare sire in GB in 1923, as was his son Sunstar in 1930. His sire line persisted for a while through Sunreigh, and especially through Sunstar. Bubbling Over & Burgoo King were Sundridge sire line, and their sire North Star was the damsire of Blue Larkspur. Sundridge is probably best known now as the sire of Lady Josephine, dam of Mumtaz Mahal.
