Some stallion changes at Hill n Dale

Mr. Sekiguchi to Florida, Seeking the Best to Canada, Red Giant also has been rumored to be on the move, and the there's a fourth according to John Sikura. He posted the following comment on the Paukick Report.

Ray/ I hope Senator Thayer reads this as i am a constituent of his district. We have just relocated four Hill’n’ Dale stallions that all bred more than 75 mares 2 years ago. All have enormous promise with stellar pedigrees and are not cast offs. The mare owner is no longer coming to Ky, in order to breed to a $7.500 stallion. They are staying home and going to states that offer lucrative purses and breeders awards. There will certainly be more causualities because of the lack of a year round racing circuit in ky. that provides adequate purses to pay the bills. Almost half of Hill’n’ Dale owned mares will foal outside of Ky. to take avandage of these programs. I have decided to be proactive and no longer rely upon the ill informed members in Frankfort to wright the ship. Their arguments about corruption, prostitution and gambling away the family farm are embarassing but seem to work on simple minds. Good luck balancing your budget. There alot of people soon to be looking for working that have been gainfully employed in our industry. It is easy to blame the economy for our ills but i suggest we have fallen asleep at the wheel. Our pompous view that ky has some birthright to maintain its status as the horse capital of the world while we do nothing will prove fatal. John G. Sikura

Very interesting perspective. Unless I've missed the 4th horse who's moving, I would guess Grand Reward.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is Grand Reward either.

Ontario breeders are going to have a lot of quality stallion options for 2010. I wonder where Red Giant will be relocated to?
