Gaff the next Proud Accolade?

Postby oliverstoned » Wed Oct 28, 2009 4:33 pm

Meaning a quick start at stud not a premature death of course. Been going over our slim pickings here in Florida for my new mare, I need speed and want an outcross and I'm starting to kind of like this Gaff horse. Will be visiting Journeyman stallions soon but would love to hear what others think of him and also a description of him.

Love him. He had real speed and comes from a good enough female family. The one hesitation I have is that he never sold well which might mean he's less than impressive physically. Let me know what you think of him when you see him.

If he has a good physical, I think he could be a nice value for the regional market sales.

Yeah I think he went for 7K as a weanling then 100k as a yearling so something changed there.

You would be well advised not to breed in Florida

Love this horse's pedigree, loved him on the track, and I believe he's still owned by the Heiligbrodts, who always support their stallions with a good number of high-quality mares, and who get offspring of said mares to the races with good trainers. Let us know what you think!
