VALENTINE'S DAY INAUGURAL PA STALLION AUCTION TO BENEFIT OLD FRIENDS

Jane White will be hosting an e-mail and phone based stallion auction on Febuary 14, 15, and 16 from 11 am to 8 pm. There will be over 32 Pennsylvania sires represented with all proceeds going to Old Friends, which is a national non-profit organization helping to find good homes for retired racehorses of all caliber. All bids are no guarantee with a courtesy breed back in 2011 if necessary and possible. Bidders must foal their mares in Pennsylvania so that the 2011 foals which result from the 2010 breeding become registered PA-Breds. Payment by check to Old Friends is due by March 1. For more information contact Jane White at (215)633-7092 or by e-mail at [email protected].

Dear Thoroughlybred,
Thank you for making Starquine feel so much better about the number of seasons sold for each of the regional stallion season auctions it held. Next year just let US make the money for the associations. I hope since you did cut them such a GREAT thoroughlybred deal, you will also thoroughly-refund their money.

Love,
Crystal

Oh, that attitude would make me run to Starquine to do business.

Not.

Yikes. Meow.

I don't really like EITHER format for stallion season auctions - not Thoroughlybred.com NOR Starquine.com. Both offer, in my opinion, poor services for this purpose.

From my perspecive as a potential bidder, it would be much preferable to have the stallion seasons organized by STATE, just like the Virginia format. BTW I know you can reorganize the starquine listings by clicking the header but it's a pain. It would also be very handy to have a checkbox so the user could "customize" just the seasons they are interested in so that checking the current price would not be such a slog.
