Anyone out there have any personal experience with Borrego or any of his foals? Would love to hear what you've got to say, or better still, see some pictures! Thanks in advance.

First starter today at Keeneland, first romping winner...Nina Fleet for Wesley Ward! Very very impressive. Didn't think we'd be seeing the Borregos running and winning quite this early, but happy I have two mares booked to him!

We have a Borrego two year old filly. She is a gorgeous, strong filly with a good hip and pretty head. Her mother is by Storm Cat and was bred to a number of fashionable sires and never had anything that was near as good looking as her Borrego two year old. Hoping she's nice. Thought his horses in September were a pretty good bunch.

That is a surprise. I was a big Borrego fan and thought his babies would be slow developers. Still might be the case as one foal does not stamp a sire. I know the babies I've seen or good looking.

Good luck with your pending Borrego's..

actually after I wrote my post, I went and watched the race of the Borrego filly that won. We actually bred her dam years ago, and owned the second dam, Good Potential, who won the Sorority Stakes as a two year old filly by open lengths. So Nina Fleet has a right to have some gas.

Congratulations--a few generations removed!

Another nice winner for Borrego at Santa Anita today -- Ricketyracketyruss for John Sadler. Here's hoping Borrego keeps his upward momentum now that his first crop has turned three. I have one on the way in less than two months' time!
