Word is, Star Dabbler has been sold. I had a season to him and have been offered Sightseeing as a replacement....

Would say that you may have gotten the better deal in the end (but cionsider the source as I have just contracted to Sightseeing). Have never been a fan of Saint Ballado as a sire of sires either.

Everything I have heard suggests that Sightseing is likely to throw a good physical. Good luck with the mating.

Well now I have to start at square one and redo my matings, since the mare I would have sent to Star Dabbler is not really a great pedigree matchup for Sightseeing. What mare are you sending to Sightseeing?

She's a Stormy Atlantic o/o a Theatrical mare. Trying to play on the successful cross of Pulpit over Storm Cat. Also looking to add dirt over turf, which he does...

Hadn't realized they dropped the advertised price on SD to 2500. Is the "siyonara" a signal on where he is going?

I don't know where he is headed. Is 4x4 Seattle Slew a good thing? I have two Slew-line mares - if you run Truenicks with Stroll (identical since they are both sons of Pulpit and that is the only thing those nick programs look at) it comes out an A++ with my Boston Harbor mare..

Star Dabbler's full brother Run Production has been going great guns in Louisiana. I would be curious to know where Star will be going.

From the horse's mouth (the farm itself) Star Dabbler is headed to South America permanently, after having full books there each year that he shuttled.

Star Dabbler follows Ocean Terrace to Chile, where Ocean Terrace (also a son of Saint Ballado) had the 2 yo filly Champions in each of his first 2 crops - and had a 3 yo filly beat the colts in the Chilean Derby.

OT was bred to a number of Sadler's Wells line mares in Chile - doubling up on the 1/2 sisters Cosmah & Natalma. He was a bit star-crossed in the States as a racehorse and a stallion.
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.
