Ghost Ridge in Pa. ready to implode?

Postby Bohemia » Wed Aug 31, 2011 3:53 am

Its general manager, Carl McEntee, has left for Northview. Both of the women on staff have left. Could some of the stallions (ahem!) soon follow suit?

Is the owner that difficult to work for?

Wow, not sure the broodmares will be more profitable than the stallions. Kind of a shock to me. Jump Start had some commercial appeal. I wonder if they will stand for the same price. It might be tough to give up that extra 10% in PA stallion awards. Might think twice before I make that decision.

Hopefully someone will bring a (more commercial appealing) stallion to Pa before the end of the year. We will have to wait and see.

They're staying in PA. They're going to Northview's PA division.

Thanks Winds, When I think of Northview I think of MD. My memory is slowly going.

No wheeling and dealing on stud fees with Northview ... they give their 25 percent multiple mare discount, and that's it.

Yep, that is exactly why I forgot thy were in PA. 25% not enough discount for the small breeder. Oh well, ww will see who else we get here.
