Very few seasons are available. The shareholders are maxing out their seasons and one share being sold is at 600k+ already.

here is my point though. common sense said the stud fee was going to go up even in this economy because he was undervalued. he's better than a 15k sire that's clear.

if you are going to raise your stud fee 400%, and there supposedly isn't that many left, why not just go "private" as to avoid the blowback?

Something is worth what someone will pay for it, i get it, but i mean, it takes some galls, you have to admit that at least, to raise a stud fee 4 times in this economy.

His yearlings sold huge. And listing his fee as private, doesn't necessarily help him commercially.

By putting him in the big boy price bracket, he's been announced as one of the premiere young stallions in the country. Whether its premature or not is a different topic.

But I can tell you he was one of, if not the first horse I knew to book up completely last year and it won't be different this year.

don't assume everyone pays advertised fee. I'm sure a few outside, non share holder mares are getting discounted seasons.
