I'd be interested in folks' opinions of him. I sense that he has not had that many foals. If I'm not mistaken, a few PQer's have bred to him and/or purchased his offspring -even very recently.
Thoughts appreciated....

Count me in as one who bred to him. We sent Allou to him and she had a nice colt. He sold as a yearling this week at the FT sale. Daaher looked the part and was by Awesome Again which a deciding factor for us. We had bred Allou to Toccet and liked the filly she had and wanted to go back to an Awesome Again son and since we had a good relationship with Shadwell having bred Allou to Invasor we took a good, hard look at Daaher. There really wasn't anything that we didn't not like about him.
He came into the breeding shed raring to go as well - in fact - came in on his hind legs, with his front legs pawing the air. First time I have ever seen that.
"Shad" the colt from the mating was a really nice looking baby with no issues when he was born. He was unlike most of Allou's foals which are really late bloomers - he was more like the Invasor colt. I sold him as a weanling but knew the folks (well) that bought him and when they sold him as a yearling he looked great. He WAS pretty headstrong even as a foal which I am guessing came from Daaher (or that side of the family) because Allou was really a dream come true mare with no vices or temperment issues (believe it or not!).
Hope this helps - if there is anything else I can anwer let me know.

Thanks for this. Lots of information. I have a mare that I think would match up well with him and I have a feeling his numbers are (going to be) pretty good. The mare herself is a bit headstrong though, so, that's a wonder.
Good to hear as well that you worked well with Shadwell. Never been that way before.
Thanks

Kent Barnes came to Midnight Vader's first three or four races - waiting for him to break his maiden. I thought that was awful nice of him. Unfortunately he broke his maiden at Mountaineer this week and I have a feeling Kent didn't make it down there for that
. I think he got tired of waiting.
Good luck. I'll be waiting to hear about the upcoming foal should you decide to go that route.
