The Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association Stallion Season Auction is going on now through Saturday online at www.thoroughlybred.com. There are more than 190 stallion seasons offered from stallions like: Discreet Cat, Sun King, Pure Prize, Eistein, Bob and John, Kipling, Einstein, Line of David, Spring At Last, Hold Me Back, Double Honor and hundreds more! You can bid on stallions from Kentucky, Florida, New York, Louisiana, Arkansas, Iowa, New Mexico, Pennsylvannia and many other states. The progeny of all stallions whose seasons sell at this auction are eligible for the ITBOA Futurity and the ITBOA Stallion Stakes, both of which had purses in excess of $100k in 2011. I think you are mistaken as Bob and John is definitely on the list. Some other ones include: Street Hero, War Chant, Cowboy Cal, and plenty of stallions from Oklahoma. There are some good ones from coast to coast and everywhere in between! The ITBOA is a non-profit organization and the funds from the auction support the two stakes races. Last year's auction was record-setting and this years' has the potential to be even better! Check the list again as there are many nice breed to race stallions in this auction!

Alternatively put "Bob and John" into the search box and it pops right up.

I really adore auctions.. I am an eBay junkie too. This auction, though, is a bit frustrating - horses marked KY are not and they are not sorted by state. .

Sorry you are frustrated, Madelyn. Can you point out some of the mistakes so we can possibly get them corrected? This is not our auction site, so, yes, there are some things that we would do differently if we were to design our own platform. However, thoroughlybred does a pretty good job and has a nice e-mail database letting people know about our auction. And we think the ITBOA Stallion Season Auction rocks!

Getting back to the nuts and bolts of the auction, though, there are still 6+ hours left to bid. We have some nice breed-to-race stallions: Discreet Cat, War Chant, Bob and John, Kipling, Five Star Day, Pure Prize, Street Hero, Einstein, Closing Argument, Noonmark, Double Honor, etc, etc. We have stallions from numerous states and have probably 7 of the top 10 stallions in Oklahoma; all of the top stallions from Iowa; quite a few nice ones from New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas, etc. And we have dozens from Kentucky! Do not wait any longer and get your bids in now! What other stallion season auction gives you two (easy) opportunities at earning black-type? What other stallion auction gives the breeder and the stallion donator the opportunity to earn up to $10K in bonuses? This is one of THE best stallion season auctions in the US for the breed-to-race crowd.

If I did not have a contract for Artie Schiller, I would have tried again for Spring at Last.... only this time I won't be in Atlantic City waiting for the Cyndi Lauper concert to start while on the phone bidding...
