Think he will stay in PA for 2013?

Why not, he has had nothing but Wise Dan this year he is ranked 43 on the sires list. Wise Dan accounts for half of his earnings.

Of his 203 runners he has had 3 graded stakes winners horse and 6 stakes winners.

He is lucky he is not getting gelded.

I was wondering the same thing. I liked him long before Wise Dan & had a breeding to him that I could not use, a couple years ago. And am hoping to get to him, one of these days.

Physically, he is one of the most correct & best-balanced stallions I've seen. I would think his physical would fit a number of different mare types to get a racehorse (but I don't know that he'll get enough respect off of Wise Dan's accomplishments to ensure sale babies, which would be what might keep him in PA.)

I'd bet even-money he stays in Pa., for the following reasons: Dana Point Farm owns him either outright or nearly all of him (I don't think there are still shareholders), and the fact that Wise Dan is his "one-hit wonder," so to speak. He has sired GSW Riding the River and a couple of other minor SWs, but that's it. I would be shocked if he left Pa. If anything, Dana Point jacks up his stud fee.

He's not so bad as that. His foals run, they win over half the time, and between the median earnings and PA breeders awards, at least half of them will earn enough money to at least break even. He's marketed as a sire of racehorses and priced accordingly.

Nothing wrong with that.

Dana Point Farm has banged up Wiseman's Ferry's fee to $5,000, with "limited seasons available."

Out of 270 foals???? Only thing you have confused is Wisemans Ferry with a good sire.

"Would you believe a Wiseman's Ferry would be as good as he is?" - Morton Fink, after Wise Dan won the Woodbine Mile this year.
