Does anyone recall how tall these stallions are/were?

I saw Anasheed when he was in NY. This was 6(?) years ago so my memory might not be the best, but I remember him as a Chestnut, a bit rangy but solid barreled, and maybe 15.3. Hope it helps.

Thank you. We have a small (15:1)mare by him, out of a Banker's Gold mare, and we are just trying to see if her being so small is a fluke or whether there is a chance that she will produce something bigger.

Anyone have a reliable and accurate source of height data? Bloodhorse seems to only publish if above 16. Same with many farms. Just a piece of data I'd like to know when narrowing the lot for certain mares. Maybe the ommission is all I need to know, but I like the details. Where do you go for info?

Frankels dam Kind was a small 15h sprinter who was mated to Galileo a 16h 12f horse.

Size of the mare and stallion is irrelevant.

Please realize that the various Stallion Register publish the heights provided by the stallion farm that is paying for their stallion to be in that register. The stallions are not measured by an independent objective entity and quite often their heights are inflated/overestimated so that they will be perceived as making the commercially desired 16.0 hands.

Many horses listed as 16 hands were never that tall.
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.

I disagree that size is unimportant. You have to know what each is likely to contribute and make a decision based on those factors. If that 16.2 stallion is always going to throw size than yes it would not matter if the mare is 15 hands.

I wouldn't spend my money on that kind of gamble, my money goes to breeding two horses that are reasonably similar in conformation and size. At least then I am sure that I'm not going to get a frankenhorse that runs like a giraffe.
