Alphabet Soup vs. Mizzen Mast

Postby Cree » Sun Dec 01, 2013 5:52 pm

Because Egg Drop just won the Matriarch, I had to look up Alphabet Soup's lifetime sire stats. He seems like a pretty good deal for $5000.
Blood-Horse has that nifty "compare" option, so I looked at Mizzen Mast vs. Alphabet Soup (both by Cozzene out of mares by Graustark and Arts and Letters- both sons of Ribot). They have similar stats. Very similar.
And, unless my eyes are playing tricks, the two sons of Cozzene look so much alike in their pictures, it's bizarre.

Just thought that was pretty interesting.

Lots of deals available for A.Soup. I think. Mizzen Mast has much more going for him at this point, but AS was a game racehorse and throws a few really good ones.

hi

bred my mare by Imperial Falcon to AS in 2013 but don't know if she took - farm vet is coming 2-10 to check her.

Dance is a A cross to AS and he was close (NY instead of KY) - I waited a long time to breed my mare to him & the other mare Famous is an A++ nick to him but they said she had a lowered cortisol level & just took my money and did not breed her - to bad there are so many scammers in the horse business - I work hard for my money and don't like being used - mares came home looking like crap & pooped out race horse oats for a couple of days -

thanks & hopefully one of the girls is in foal

Any comments on COZZETTI's future chances as a sire?
Seems that this combination of sire and broodmare sire
has worked well but all the way around, that is,
with Cozzene as the broodmare sire.
Thanks for your comments!
