Pedigree Query

Just because I am bored on a Friday night, I felt like looking up their 2-year-olds in training prices to see how they were doing so far.

Tiznow has had 9 sell for $2,040,000, average of $226,667, high of $1 million, low of $25,000. 2 RNA's.

Point Given has had 7 sell for $1,343,000, average of $191,857, high of $750,000, low of $13,000. 2 RNA's.

Just wondering what people think of these two sire's offspring (besides being big, and probably late maturing). Any comments would be great. Thanks.

Cree: I'm glad there's somebody following that battle too They both were my darlings during their racing careers, and Tiznow is my favourite horse of all times I personally remember... So I follow their stud careers carefully.
What to say... I haven't seen too many Point Given foals, unfortunately. However, I'm a bit disappointed... Quite nice horses, but no one which I would love as I did wich Point Given. They are too different and I see more flaws than I would like. Only foal I like is hip 46 from Barretts sale, looks very nice on the picture. However, I saw the video of his training and also video of other Point Given foal, and... I don't know, I don't like them. I like more natural power, which was shown perfectly by Songandaprayer's foals (another of my favourites, and I'm fascinated by his foals, they're wonderful). Point Given's foals looked like they're running because they must. I wish I could say they're fantastic at the end of this season, but... well, we'll see.
Tiznow's foals is another story. I saw some of them and I like them all. Tiznow marks them very distinctly, they have his markings on head and his body... I just love them, wonderful little horses. Well, not so little, I saw his foal higher than pretty high groom I also saw two videos from Barretts, and I found another reason why to like them: they keep running and running and running. They seem to love it - and I love such horses. You know what a fighter Tiznow was, so at least his foals are much the same way It's also worth saying that when I saw them running, they resembled Tiznow too...
I'm also bit affraid whether Tiznow's foals will be late maturing, but on the other side, he was racing very well since 3yo summer, Budroyale was good 3yo even from sheer beginning of his 3yo season, Tizdubai was very classy 2yo filly, and also some foals from Cee's Song mares are good 2yos... Tiznow's foals showed quite good speed at Barretts, so we'll see. I'm not much affraid, although I really don't like the idea of Tiznow colt being trained by Bob Baffert
Now it's too soon to say who'll be better sire, maybe Tiznow won't sire any group horse and Point Given will be a star, who knows? But at this point, and from that little amount of materials I've seen, I rank Tiznow much much higher than Point Given.

I have a yearling filly by Tiznow, and am sending a mare to him next month. I really like a lot of the Tiznows that I've seen. Scopy, alert animals, and as Saintly mentioned, you can tell they're Tiznows. I think they're going to need some time--maybe not as much as a Broad Brush or a Pleasant Colony, but nevertheless, I don't look for any stakes winners in May.
