Chester House

Hi everyone,

Did anyone ever see this horse race? I saw he died at a young age. What about his conformation? A friend of mine bred a colt by him and has entered it in the Dutch Derby. Could he make it on 12 fulongs on grass? The horse I put in the query, named Chester Boko. Thanks very much for your information.

The stamina influence in Chester House pedigree are.

Discovery---Teddy---Bull Dog---American Flag---Johnstown---Reigh Count---Native Dancer---Tom Fool---Traffic Judge---Rough n' Tumble---and Swaps.

The distance and turf should make for an easy victory. Good Luck and I'll see you in the winners circle.

What spectacular names...Chester Boko (by Chester House) is out of a DIXIELAND BAND daughter that's out of a SIR IVOR...that's out of a HOIST THE FLAG...that's out of a TOM FOOL.

WOW !!!

What does he look like?

erins isle: beautiful! I think he should go mile and a half and Chester was grass horse... I think there's no problem.
And BTW - I looked at Chester Boko's siblings - their pedigrees are just wonderful... built exactly in the way I love... Full credit to your friend!!!

Thank you all very much for your replies. So I guess the people who own him have a good horse in the making. I am sorry, I don't know how he looks, but I could ask for a photo. I am not even sure where he is. He was born in the USA. He is owned by the Bootsman family. The father bred high class trotters, and the son John Bootsman continues, but as far as I know this is his first atempt on the thoroughbred market. The family bred lots of classic (trotting) winners and a few Derbys. John Bootsman sr. lives in Holland, but the son lives with his wife in Sweden. I will let him read al this and will try to find out where the colt is now and who will train him.

hi erins isle (margreet)

You might find this interesting. Chester House may have been a turf horse...but he had a brilliant maiden special weight two-year-old filly winner on the dirt (going 4 1/2 furlongs) at Keeneland (on April 27). She was a first-time starter named Mighty Martha (by Chester House out of Fanny Forgot by Dixieland Band)...the purse was $50,000.

Interestingly this brilliant filly (Mighty Martha) has the same sire AND broodmare sire as the horse you referenced...Chester Boko.

FOS Thank you so much, it is indeed a coincidence isn't it?
Kind regards and if he wins the Derby in two years time I will let you all know!
