Louis are you saying they bred 90 mares to this stallion? His dam has not produced any black type runners, he is unraced, and unproven.

Although his dam, Bountiful Native, hasn't produced any blacktype, she was a multiple stakes winner, including two G3's, with earnings of $468,475, and was named California Champion Older Mare. Her blacktype 1/2 brother, True and Blue, had 30 wins from ages 2-8 and banked $860, 545. So I don't see how you can imply that this family is without merit. Also he is the only son of Unbridled standing in CA. I think I'll look into sending a mare to him in 06.

This horse was an $11,000 two year old. That speaks for itself.

I hope the luck of Fredrico Tessio rubs off on Unbridled Native, as this stallion is a new kid on the block in Calif.
Time will tell if UN is the real Mc Coy.

When I see Pete I'll tell him to post a photo on this site, of UN conformation. If he produces like his conformation photo looks, its time to put your mare on the van and head for the gold in them there hills.

I'm not implying his family is without merit, and I'm not against unproven sires per se, but I was surprised that a stallion without demonstrated racing abililty and out of a dam who did not produce any black type horses would be so well supported. I don't thinks these points are overly critical.

Dispite his lack of credentials, if he is in fact the only Unbridled son standing in California, as someone mentinoed, that may account for the size of his book.

He's the only son of Unbridled listed on the California Stallion Directory (available at ctba.com); however I was able to find another son of Unbridled, Sir Opus, who didn't advertise in the directory. The JC lists him as covering one mare last year.
