Is he still standing in MD? Rather rare to find a son of Graustark still alive....Are there any pictures of him out there? Thanks....

Two intact stallion representatives of the very good "Graustark" stallion line stallion, Java Gold, have Texas associations....

Grand Jewel stands here in Texas for a private fee,

Mocha Express, who raced particularly well in Texas during his career, was standing somewhere in the midwest I think - Nebraska perhaps? - for 2004 (I'm not sure where he was standing for 2005?).

I also gather that Java Gold is still standing in either Germany or England from the anecdotal information at this database for his entry

I believe he died last year. A friend of mine has a filly by him in training right now.

Java Gold is living and sire at the Ammerland Stud, Bavaria, Germany:

Besides Boreal (German Derby, Coronation Cup at Epsom) he hasn't been as successful as expected and concerning the mares he got during his German stud carrier.
