Anyone remember how long Lammtarra stood in Europe before he hit the Japan trail? I want to say just one season, but I'm not sure.

I think he went to Japan right away didn't he?

I am sure he went straight to Japan too. But that was almost 10 years ago.

He must have covered at least a few mares in Europe before he went on the plane unless someone shipped all the way to Japan to breed to him -- Urban Sea had a 1997 Irish-bred filly by him.

I know for sure he stood first in England, afterwards sold to Japan.
I am gooiing to find out, for how long he was in europe. There was an article on him in one of the pacemakers, but quite a while ago. With stats and everything.

Mahubah, I'm sure he stood one year here in Europe. I remember people talked about it very much - naturally... It was very often mentioned due to Simeon and Melikah, that they are "from the only European crop". I hope I don't tell you total nonsense, but I'm pretty sure.

One season

He stood one season at Dalham Hall Stud in Newmarket for a stud fee of 30,000 pounds before being sold to Japan. Simeon is a 1999 foal so not from that first crop, his dam was covered in Japan and then brought to the UK.
