Maracaibo (Skip Trial-Traki Traki by Mo Power) is coming to NY! This outstanding stakes winner of $222K will be standing at Middle Creek Farm for the 2006 season.

Maracaibo is out of Traki Traki who won the Old Hat Stakes and has produced 2 other stakes winners: Frosty's Girl ($157K Columbus Day S) and Frosty''s On Track ($111K Helena S)

Maracaibo won the Charles Staats Memorial S and was 3rd in the Kelso S. He ran and won at Aqueduct, Saratoga, Delaware, Rockingham, Suffolk and Tampa...he was on the board 18 times with 12 wins racing form 2 to 7.

He is beautiful and it will fun to see what he will produce. I am still learning my way around him since he can be like a brick wall...when I turn to his shoulder all I see is solid shoulder. He must be 17h easily and knows he can throws his weight around if he wants to. We are working on his manners , but he is settling down nicely and loves his carrots.

He used to slam me into the wall but as soon as I slammed him back he was a big suck hahahh, he sent a girl to the hospital she thought she broke her ribs. But that is him throwing a temper tantrum that's all, Gerry ask Mac why he loves carrots? Because if I didn't walk into the stall with carrots he ate both my wrists. I still have so much to tell you.

For a little update...Mac is happy that I planted a carrot garden and he is actually calming down nicely. He "fake" bites but then closes his mouth before he actually does, so Stacy you must have taught him not to bite if he wants his carrot snack. He is doing well and if things go well this weekend I will take some pictures. he also has a gfriend lined up for later in the week...nice easy going mare for his test foal.

I had to teach him to eat carrots because if I didn't he would bite both my wrists, he was bad bad boy. Gerry and beleive me they were no fake bites

I always loved the breeding on him. Someday if I breed a NY Bred he might be a great mix. How does he throw to the turf ? We can't get good dirt distance races anymore. It's really a shame that it's difficult in the business to breed to good stamina and soundness anymore. Actually, 9 out of 10 times, a breeder will breed to an unsound son of Storm Cat that never ran a race than breed to this nice horse. It's a shame. I saw this horse race many times. He was a really good horse, I cashed a few tickets on him.
