I was wondering how everyone thinks he will do at stud? I was at the
track when he won the Joseph T. Grace Handicap, Cappuchino looked
impressive winning.

I got the chance to visit Empire while in NY about 5-6 weeks ago.
Cappuchino is a nice looking horse. I'm sure the Lamonca connections will handle him well in NY.

hi TBLADY
You wrote "Cappuchino is a nice looking horse."
Fair enough in general...
...but, respectfully...I suggest Cappuchino is a bit upright (maybe an understatement) and leggy...and his quarters leave something to be desired. Obviously he had a real pedigree...was a very nice racehorse...and seemed to have a real engine (his running style exposed that)...but I would expect that in the mare selection process...one might have to be quite careful.
I would guess that a neat...compact...strongly-made mare with good angles...a lot of body...bone...and a deep and very powerful set of quarters (and gaskin) might suit him well.
Respectfully

Cappuchino will do well. He has a lovely a$$... He is leggy, but I never really thought upright when I looked at him and I did daily. He had ton's of try and thoroughly enjoyed what he did. I hope he passed that love of the sport to his kids.
I do however agree that a strongly made mare might complement his physical traits.
